For some reason my Windows 7 audio skips whenever I play anything, do you know how to fix this?

Check to make sure your drivers for your sound card are FIRST of all, compatible with Windows 7 (you'd be amazed how many pieces of hardware's drivers out there aren't Windows 7 compatible yet) and if they are, make sure they are up to date.

If the drivers aren't up to date, this could cause problems in the decoding of audio output.

Make sure your RAM is okay. This could be another possible cause. Make sure that the rest of the PC is running okay and it's "just" the audio issue.

Otherwise, go to Google, type in the make/model of your sound card along with "skipping/crackling audio Windows 7"

See if any others using the same hardware with W7 have had the same issue and you might find a user that found a proper solution.

Good luck!
