Once I was with my Dad and he was using Windows XP at that time. He said that he needed to show me this problem. He went down to the quick launch bar and DOUBLE CLICKED Safari and asked "Why does it open two Safari browsing windows?"

At that moment I was just going to laugh my head off but I told my Dad where to double click and where not to double click and now he understands, I think.

Do your parents do the same, or did they used to do it before?

This is just a random question as well

EDIT: He also does it on links on websites :S

Haha that's so true, my mom does the same, but only double click on links (and the other stuff that you actually need to double click) so it doesn't cause any annoyances for her (example: opening something two times) but it is annoying for me and I don't even know why lol. Besides that, I think that most parents who aren't into tech do that, I saw that many times :P

My ones do the opposite, they single click on something on the desktop. Then when I say "no, double click" they somehow triple click and open it up twice lol

The answer for that is you need to have a delay of about 5 seconds and then the 1 click for the 2 clicks will go away... ermm... u might not get it :S

Well we just have to get used to our parents doing that, if they are not "teechky" people we cannot ask a lot from them.
