Your IP on most networks, including GeekShed is your hostname encrypted into a hostmask. No one can gather your IP unless they are network staff members. And as mentioned DCC can compromise yourself. I would disable all DCC communications on mIRC or the client you use. Be aware, proxies and similar services are blocked on most networks and could lead to a GZ:line. I don't recommend any type of proxy or anonymizer. An independent BNC service or VPN would work. |
