I'm guessing something like 80% single player campaigns and main title vs about 20% into the multiplayer

I wish multiplayer had higher priority....I love gaming....but I do prefer multiplayer rather than singler player AI

With titles in the passed I would agree with 80/20 single player/multiplayer. But with multiplater become such a key part of the game, most games are now concentrating on multi player to increase sales. Call of Duty is a prime example.

According to forbes, adding a multiplayer mode to a game can add to development costs more than $50,000 USD.

Where COD is concerned its the complete opposite. Its about 80% multiplayer. COD campaigns over the last few years has been way too easy and short. They treat it nearly like training for the online play.

However you don't need online play to be successful, take Fallout for instance.
