What size laptop do you prefer? (screen size). Is it always the larger the better? |
|
yes, having a bigger laptop screen is better, i remember when i had a Dell Mini 9 the screen was so small i found it really hard to do multiple things at one time. i could only do one thing at a time. |

i remember when i had a Dell Mini 9 i could only do one thing at a time, instead of being able to have two things open, also the screen resolution was limited and so alot of programs wouldn't display correctly because of the screen resolution limits. |

I too am a "right tool for the job" kind of person... However, if you're talking specifically about desktop-replacement, my own personal preference is a 17-incher. Anything larger than that becomes unwieldly as soon as you pick it up and move it about, and anything smaller just doesn't have the screen real-estate or resolution to do the "replacing" justice. ;-) I personally use a 17" MacBook Pro. From my perspective it's the ultimate solution - it's built so well that it feels like a 15" laptop when handling, carrying, etc. but it delivers full desktop performance, as well as a 17-inch screen with an UNBEATABLE resolution at that size of 1920x1200. |

I personally prefer 15" laptops since its not too small (11 and 13") and not too big (17") To me 15" is right in the comfort zone for me, and I see myself getting 15" Macbook Pros for a long time to come! |

15" is perfect for a laptop screen size. 17" and bigger is too big for laptops. |

I used to have an 18.5 inch laptop, and though it was awesome i was just way too big. I bought a 13 inch macbook pro about a year ago though and i love it for school. its easy to carry and the battery life is awesome. but it for somethings like when I'm doing homework and need multiple windows open or if I'm in visual studios or something it gets kind of small but because of all the stuff i lie to have open. But Lions spaces feature helps with that a lot as well at just having a second monitor to hook it up to when I'm at home. so as far as a laptop 13 inch works well for me as long as i have the second monitor when i need it. but for a desktop the bigger the better!!!!:) |
