When you buy a new product....what do you do with the manual? I just got a new Sony tv and an Xbox 360.....I threw the manuals away immediately. |
chuck 'em in the cupboard, read them when i'm bored |
Depends, If I'm keeping the box, I leave them with the box. If the box is not important, then everything but the product and accessories get thrown out. |
Leave em' in the box. I find them useless 90% of the time since I'm fairly confident what the product does without having to read the manual for guidance. |
They end up the same place where the socks go. To bad I don't know where the socks creep off to... |
I put them on a book shelf in my office and then when I need them I will find them. If they are for the TV then I will put them in a storage area near the TV. If I cannot find a manual then I can just find it online. |
Usually I throw out all manuals except for a TV. There is most likely going to be a time where you can't hook up something properly, get a new remote, etc. |
I place them in the original box with all original packaging. I keep the package until the warranty ends, when it ends, I move the packages from 1 part of the basement to the other where I have about 10 boxes and each time I add, I throw out the oldest one after salvaging all of the twist ties and antistatic bags. |
If the box they came in is small enough to keep, it stays in the box. Otherwise it goes in the "junk drawer" until there is a need for it. |
I usually keep 'em in the box, which is so helpful. |
as soon as i get a new product i will unbox the product but i'll leave the manual in the box and put the box in the roof. i don't read manuals untill something screws up so badly that i can't get it working using my knowledge and common sense :) |
