[closed] Help With iphone 2g

howdy folks, need some serious help here....i just upgraded my friends iphone, which he uses as an ipod touch (no sim card) and now it won't let me do anything! it says to connect to itunes. when i connect it to itunes, it says to insert sim card to activate. is there any way i can get around this?? any help is greatly appreciated
