Since it can happen to anyone, this solution applies only if the ant is alive. Turn of the monitor, put a light near the monitor and a piece of chocolate under the light. When it starts melting, the ant will feel the aroma and will see the light (if it's dark in the room)and it will go after it and that's it. It worked for me in just 15 minutes. It sounds funny, but worked :)

if it is a laptop then it is extremely difficult to clean behind the LCD as they are held together by adhesive
for a desktop monitor, you have to take the monitor completely. When you get to the LCD panel, you will be able to loosen a few screws and the 2 layers should open like a book.
PS be very careful as due to the way the LCD panel is designed, anything that makes it's way in between the LCD and backlight layer (including dust) will become visible when the display is on.
When I work on the backlights of LCD panels, I use a box fan with a quality air filter taped to the back and run it for a few hours before working in order to prevent dust as if the air is not really clean, you will get rid of the ant but end up with a bunch of other tiny specs on the screen.
