I actually like RockMelt, because I've been looking around for a really good RSS Reader, and I've found it to be the best so far. I like how it integrates Facebook (and other websites) into it. I was accepted Wednesday, but I waited to download it Thursday (because of my packed schedule).

I'm not too crazy in the fact that it's built off of Chrome, because Chrome doesn't include the HTML5 that I prefer to use (H.264 video, AAC audio). One thing that I do like about it being built off of Chrome is that themes and extensions will work.

I like the Facebook integration so that I don't have to be on Facebook.com in order to chat with people. I have actually been more social since I've downloaded RockMelt.

I've changed my mindset in browsing over the couple hours of playing with it. I'm not going to ditch Safari, but I'm not going to ignore RockMelt. So now I have them both launching at startup. I think that I have found a good mix of what will satisfy my needs.

1) You shouldn't judge a browser based on whether or not it can afford to provide proprietary codecs.

2) Chrome does in fact come with H.264 and AAC codecs out of the box, it is Chromium that does not. Besides, on Ubuntu it's as easy as installing an extra package for the missing codecs for Chromium.

I think a lot of browsers are better than Safari... (just my opinion though).

Rockmelt is probably the best browser I've used for a long time, it's like Flock but a million times better. It's built on Chromium which is at the moment probably the best "frame" for a browser.

If you spend most of your time on Sosial Networking sites, then RockMelt is a must to use. But if you are more on websites, then Safari is useful!

Do you not know that it's also an RSS Reader (I know Safari is too, but it's not integrated the way I want it to be)? I've found it to be the best one yet. I use both web browsers, and I'm happy with my mix.

I am satisified somewhat with the browser although I am not a big social media guy I do like the fact that you dont have to go to the actual sites Twitter and Face book to see updates and respond to tweets and chat with your Facebook friends . I dont speak very often to the friends I have on both but love the integration and the RSS feeds are great as well. I am still learning how to use it to my advantage. I am busy most of time with school online and it can become somewhat distracting but love it nonetheless. There are some bugs that I dont care for. For example it is a memory and CPU hog once it is open for a long time and you have to restart it to regain that memory. I know future updates will address that and hopefully they will upgrade to maybe chrome 8 -I heard that they are running on the Chrome 6 platform so there are those security issues. I have been also playing around with the extensions and themes. they work all right but are somewhat sluggish in my opinion

I love RockMelt. The only glitch I've found so far is that if I want to get online in a venue other than my home, it actually seems to want to launch directly from Facebook (don't ask me, I'm not technical!) so I have to start another browser first to be able to hook into the wifi.

I hope that makes sense, I'm awful at explaining!

I got my RockMelt approval within 24 hours... I have to say that I do like it very well. I have added my FB and Twitter along with some other sources I follow close and it's really smooth.

I give it a thumbs+ up and I have been using it 5 days.
