My computer won't boot.

I got an AMD Phenom II x6 1055T processor for my birthday. I installed it, and now it won't POST. I tried using the integrated graphics card, and it still won't work. My best guess is that the BIOS doesn't support it. Problem 1: I don't have any more thermal compound, so I can't switch processors. Problem 2: Gigabyte sucks. I've been trying for months to flash my BIOS, but I can't find the latest file on Gigabyte's website. If anybody is interested, it's the GA-MA785GM-US2H. And I still can't find a BIOS file.

According to Gigabyte, it's supposed to have native support for them. Bummer.

I now tried checking the power leads and clearing the CMOS by hand. No luck.

You may have a damaged CPU. That is the only reason I can think of. The other one can be that you have a the wrong version of your bios but gigabyte say you have it fine. It Will most likely be the CPU

I doubt it. The rate of failures for computer components is something like 3%, and I've already had RAM fail on me this year. The odds of that happening, in other words, are less than 1.5%.

Well, maybe then. But anything of the sort is possible. There may be other solutions you can try. Phone Gigabyte. Normally they can be quite helpful, even if all they do is give you a link to the bios files.
